I view technology as being a great way that we can improve education in order to get high levels of learning for all students. Technology can be the accelerator in education to get us to where we want to be for our learners. I made wide use of technology in my own classrooms in order to create a more effective learning environment and now help others do this in my own district, as well as in other districts.
I am an authorized Google for Education Trainer and Google for Education Innovator. I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instructional Technology from Iowa State University. I can setup trainings for teachers over the wide variety of areas including using technology for teaching and learning, Universal Design for Learning, accessibility tools and resources, and tools such as Google Apps, from Google Docs, Sites, Sheets, to all the use of Add-ons and other tools that Google provides.
I have presented at multiple conferences, including ISTE, FETC, Midwest Google Summit, NETA, ITEC, Iowa 1:1, and TIES as just a few of the main conferences. My sessions have focused on how we can improve the learning environment using tools that are widely available. The focus is always on how we can use various tools to improve student learning.
