UDL – The Konami Code for Student Learning
Cheat codes in video games allow you to more easily find success, whether through extra lives or special powers. In the classroom, we can do the same thing for our students through the use of UDL and effective technology use. The learning barriers of the past can become like Goombas to our Marios (super weak opponents to the players in our classrooms) through the use of UDL and easy-to-implement technology tools and practices. We will discover learning barriers that may be created by instructional design and how we can use UDL and simple technology tools or techniques to help our students save the Princess of Learning (find maximum success).
