Whether we are working with younger students, students with special needs or all students, sometimes we need to help them narrow or limit what they search using Google. Setting a student who is not ready or prepared loose on the internet just using a search engine is not always safe or ideal. We need to make sure our students have learned how to search safely and effectively before letting them run wild.
We can create a custom search engine using Google where we set what sites they can search. This also can be useful if you have your own site with a lot of information and posts on it, and you need an easy way to search it. My own site would be an example as I have done this before.
