Using Building Blocks in Google Docs to Support Large Assignments or Projects

The Building Blocks feature in Google Docs can make it very easy to create tables that support students when assigning large projects or assignments. You can easily create a table that has the major components or checkpoints of their assignment, a section for descriptions or notes, a drop down to indicate where they are with that point, and of course a column that has suggested due dates. You can add any column or drop down you want after using the built-in templates to make this fit your specific needs, and more importantly the needs of your students. Make it easier on yourself and your students by using this a support for when they are working on larger assignments.
