Basics of the new Google Add-Ons for Docs and Sheets

Like an unexpected birthday present, Google has introduced a new set of tools that are integrated with Google Docs and Sheets. Some of these tools are just the updated versions of scripts and extensions we had before but there are also some new tools to use to make your work more efficient and effective. The Add-Ons also make it so you can finally use scripts like Doctopus and Flubaroo in the new Google Sheets, which was a big reason to hold off on updating to the new Sheets till now.

You may not be able to work with your old Doctopus Sheets once you update so make sure you are done with them first, you can always downgrade to the old Sheets.

To go back to the older version of Sheets, click the green arrow at the bottom of the page and then select “Switch back to the old Sheets”.
