Using Flipboard For Shared Resources

ISTE 2016 is just weeks away and as part of my preparation for this great conference, I have created a new Flipboard magazine for the event.  For those of you that do not know, Flipboard is a great tool for resource curation – at least that is how I use it.  You can easily flip resources into a Flipboard magazine and then share that magazine with others.

Flipboard is a tool that is easy to use and easy to share with others, while also having a pleasant look.  There is a handy Chrome extension that allows you to add a site to your magazine with just a couple of clicks.

You can even collaborate with others by creating a shared magazine.  For some past conferences I have collaborated with other educators, such as Josh Allen who does a great job with his Flipboard magazines and is worth a follow, so that we can create a better resource than either of us could alone.  This type of collaboration makes it easy to build a magazine of resources that you can use later or share with others.  While I have tried using other curation tools in the past, Flipboard is by far my favorite.  It is easy to use both as a curator and as a viewer of the magazine.

My new Flipboard magazine for ISTE 2016, and the Google Innovator Academy that follows, can be found at https://flipboard.com/@donovanscience/iste-2016-and-google-innovator-academy-77pkgdgay. You can follow along while I am at ISTE or you can even use that link to find my other magazines and you might find some very useful resources.
